West Indian Manatee

WALT: use our senses to make our writing more interesting.

West Indian Manatees are known as the sea cows of the coast. Have you ever
seen one before? No 

Task 1: Watch the video clip on the site. Make sure you watch carefully
so you can see what West Indian Manatees look like..

Task 2: Brainstorm using some of your senses. What can you see/hear/feel
if you were to ever see a West Indian Manatee?
Think about the shape of the Manatee, what you think it’s skin might feel like.
Take a note of its environment. What does a West Indian Manatee need to
survive?

 Hi i'm here to tell you about a western  indian manatee habitat and 
facts about them along with what they look like. Western Indian manatees
have a flat tail and a very big body and a small head in my opinion there are
very beautiful creatures that roam in the water. 

There habatt Western Indian manatees live in watery areas where they don't
get disubs. In the video I watched them swimming in a sandy area with plenty
of water, rocks along with algae and some seaweed. In the video i watched
about their habitat the man who was telling us information about their habitat
said that It's called 3 sister springs in florida.West Indian manatees prefer
shallow, slow-moving waters of rivers, estuaries, saltwater bays, canals, and
coastal areas. They can move easily between freshwater and saltwater

environments, but prefer freshwater. The West Indian manatee has no natural
predators.

What do you think the experience would be like?

Hi one day i went swimming in a beach and i saw a green sea turtle
and so i decided to swim with it. It was so much fun. I had a great time
and I hope that the green sea turtle did too. In the video you can hear me
swimming and splashing in the water it sounds kinda relaxing in my opioion.

The day Vesuvius Erupted Diary

The day Vesuvius Erupted  

Instructions:

This is your last trip out of the Time Machine and it has transported you back to
79AD (Over 2000 years ago) in Mount Vesuvius.  

Your home is near Mt Vesuvius - What were you doing, thinking and
feeling when you saw the ash cloud suddenly appear?

Complete the diary entry to describe what happened the day the volcano began to erupt.

Dear Diary, 

What an unforgettable day!  I was busy collecting water from the well,
when the sun mysteriously disappeared from the sky.

I looked up and saw that  the sky got really foggy and there was smoke
everywhere and i thought someone started a fire in there house so i looked
to see what house the smoke was coming from but it wasn't a house that was
on fire it was the Mt vesuvius volcano  and it was erupting. I heart stopped for
a second I was so scared i almost fainted but i had to do something everyone
could die in a unfaithful way i thought to myself i screamed and yelled as loud
as i could and a lot of the people heard me and ran towards me and i told them
that the Mt vesuvius volcano was erupting so all of us screamed and yelled as
loud as we could to get everyone's attention and we all steamed the
Mt vesuvius  volcano was erupting and everyone else who didn’t come came
running as fast as they could some of the slower people in the village got
picked up by the faster people in our village and the faster people from our
village ran a little slower but they still ra as fast as they could with the slower
people from our village on their backs. After that we all survived lucky.

During a cold full moon night the stars lit up the sky and there was a lot of noise from the
ambluence because at night time  all of the Samurai fight each other to see who is the best
Samurai in japan. They train in the morning and daytime but at night time they fight 1Samurai
vs 2Samurai  and they battle to the
death. 

One night when there was a full moon the leader Samurai got stuck in a Samurai battle
against his son but he didn’t know they had their fight. There were alot of Boom Pow Crash
they must've had a big fight for a Samurai battle to the death. I got to  watch  the whole fight with
Head leader Samurai  against his son that he didn’t know about. 

The fight had started. Head leader Samurai took the first hit; he tried to slice his son's neck
off to finish the fight just when it started. I don’t know how but the Head leader Samurai’s son
knew just the right time to dodge his father's sword. As soon a Head leader Samurai ‘s son
dodged his father's sword Head leader Samurai said are just going to doge this fight  are you
going to fight me like a real Samurai  It went silent but not for long Head leader Samurai’s son
got so mad that he punched him in the face and said no i will continue this fight to the death.
Head leader Samurai was shocked but he had a big grin on his face and said I like a challenge.
Oh it’s on said Head leader Samurai’s son

Ok  then let’s go, said Head leader Samurai. 

Then they started fighting once again  but this time Head leader Samurai took the first hit by
swinging  his sword against Head leader Samurai’s face and hitting his eye with the word other
than that they kept dodging eachothers swords and punching and kicking each other in the face.
20 minutes later the fight was almost finish and Head leader Samurai’s son wa wining and Head
leader Samurai  was n the floor bleeding hard out but Head leader Samurai’s son didn’t finish him off and
they both came out with Head leader Samurai  having a cut on his eye and a bruise on the other one also with
a bruise
on the left side of his knee cap.
